Sara Morrison
former inclusion and audience development co-ordinator, Belfast Film Festival; artist and advocate for freedom of expression

Sara Morrison is a Belfast-based artist, writer, and commentator with a Masters in Fine Art. Since 2007, she has worked as a practising artist and held various roles in the arts sector, including inclusion and audience development co-ordinator at Belfast Film Festival.

In 2023, following her participation in a Let Women Speak event affirming the immutability of biological sex, this led to workplace concerns, professional repercussions, and a tribunal claim for discrimination and constructive dismissal. Sara writes on her Substack about integrity, conscience, and resistance to ideological conformity in creative spaces. Drawing on her long experience in the arts sector, she advocates for genuine freedom of expression, artistic rebellion, and the flourishing of diverse perspectives over enforced uniformity.
