Professor David Paton
professor of Industrial Economics, Nottingham University Business School

Professor Paton holds the Chair of Industrial Economics at Nottingham University Business School and is Co-editor of the International Journal of the Economics of Business. He has published over 60 academic papers diverse topics including the gambling taxation, export intensity, digital strategy, assisted suicide, economics of cricket, and Covid vaccine mandates.  He has advised several Government departments including DCMS, National Audit Office, HMRC and the DTI. He is a regular commentator on economic issues on tv and radio and has written for outlets such as Unherd, Spiked Online, The Critic and the Spectator.
