Mattias Heitmann

Matthias Heitmann is a freelance journalist, author and cabaret performer. Born in 1971, he was a member of the founding team of Novo and has written several books on contemporary political and cultural issues, including Mythos Doping (2010), Zeitgeisterjagd (2015) and Entcoronialisiert Euch (2021). His articles have appeared in publications such as Cicero Online, Achse des Guten and Schweizer Monat.

Since 2017, he has also performed under the stage name FreiHeitmann, presenting his own satirical shows at small theatres and cabaret venues. His current show is Kopf hoch! Comedy vs. Zeitgeist.
