Lynne Pinches
veteran pool player; campaigner for fairness in women's sports

Lynne was captain of Norfolk County Ladies Pool team for several years. and has represented Norfolk County Ladies team for 30 years this year, starting in 1996. Her family contains four generations of cueists.

In 2023, Lynne reached the final in a pool tournament. Her opponent was a trans-identifying man, and rather than legitimise this unfair competition, she decided to concede. She is now fighting for fairness for all women’s sports and would love to see at some point in the future women’s sports run by women for women across the board. Currently, she is permanently banned from spectating or playing at any Ultimate Pool events.

Lynne is a mother of three and her three sons are continuing the tradition – they’re are all fantastic pool players. She is also a grandmother to two beautiful granddaughters.
