Lord Kulveer Ranger
member, House of Lords; former director for transport policy, Mayor of London

Lord Kulveer Ranger of Northwood is a member of the House of Lords and a leading voice on technology, innovation and public policy. For more than 25 years, he has worked at the intersection of government, global technology, infrastructure and digital transformation, advising senior political leaders, businesses and public institutions.

Lord Ranger played a key role in the delivery of London’s Oyster card and, was senior adviser to Boris Johnson, when he was Mayor of London. He led the Mayor’s transport, environment and digital policy briefs. His work included the introduction of the cycle hire scheme, preparations for the 2012 Olympic Games, championing Crossrail, accelerating electric vehicle adoption, advancing Tech City and establishing London’s first Digital Office.

He returned to industry as a senior executive at global technology provider Atos, leading strategy and communications across Northern Europe, Asia-Pacific (APAC) and India. He has served on the boards and advisory bodies of organisations including Transport for London, techUK, Tech West Midlands, and the C40 Global Steering Committee.

Today, Lord Ranger is an advisor to various tech businesses, serves on the House of Lords Science and Technology Select Committee, co-chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Digital Money Digital Markets for London, and is vice-chair APPG for AI.
