Jack Kelsall is a writer interested in football, politics, free speech and working-class culture. His writing on Substack explores attitudes towards the working class and the institutions that shape their lives, as well as the relationship between football, its supporters and the establishment.

A lifelong Birmingham City fan, Jack is particularly interested in the changing culture of the game, the treatment of supporters by the police and authorities, and the ways in which football has become increasingly shaped by political, commercial and social changes.

Alongside his writing on football and class, Jack writes about contemporary politics and the importance of free expression. He has appeared recently on the Living Freedom Substack defending Free Speech for Football fans.
