Dr Ella Cotter
art historian and writer; post-doctoral researcher, University of Cambridge

Dr Ella Cotter is a Bye-Fellow and post-doctoral researcher at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, and a post-doctoral researcher at Northumbria University. She specialises in twentieth-century British art and has curated various exhibitions. At Murray Edwards, she is co-editing a forthcoming book on the Women’s Art Collection. At Northumbria University, she works on a project campaigning for greater representation of women in public statues. Alongside her academic work, she writes fiction and has been published writing on art for publications including British Art Studies and the Women’s Art Journal, as well as ArtReview, The Critic, and Art UK.
