Dave Clements is a writer and consultant with three decades experience in local government and the public sector. He has led the development of policy and strategy across children’s and adult’s services, and supported collaboration across public, voluntary sector and community organisations.

Dave has also written for publications including The Guardian, Independent, Huffington Post, International Business Times, The MJ, The Conservative Woman, Community Care and spiked; and featured as a commentator on Sky News, GB News, Talk TV, BBC Radio, BBC1’s Sunday Morning Live, and Ireland’s Newstalk. He is contributing co-editor of The Future of Community (Pluto, 2008), a contributor to The Future of the Welfare State (Axess, 2017) and author of The Crisis in the Classroom: How the special needs explosion is destroying education (Luath Press, 2026).
