Andrew Gold
YouTuber; host, Heretics

Andrew Gold is a former BBC presenter who speaks five languages and made documentaries exposing crazed beliefs around the world. These included such topics as exorcism, UFOs and infidelity.

He stopped making films for mainstream TV after being told by every production company he encountered that he’d have to go behind the screen to make way for somebody from a minority background. He started a podcast, and after three years of YouTubing about cults and ideologies (with a huge focus on Scientology), he started the new YouTube channel Heretics to expose magical thinking on the Left.

His videos look at everything from trans and the Islamo-Left to DEI and cancel culture, and he writes weekly articles about the wackiest culture war moments of our time. In 2024, he released a book with Pan Macmillan called The Psychology of Secrets: My Adventures with Murderers, Cults & Influencers. It looks at the cultish ideologies behind suppressive authoritarians, and compares their tactics with those of today’s influencers.
