Ceri Dingle is the Director of WORLDwrite, a pioneering youth education charity best known for its internationalist outlook and campaigning slogan “Ferraris for All”.  WORLDwrite campaigns for change using film and video through its online Citizen TV channel WORLDbytes.

Ceri founded WORLDwrite in 1994, and in 2008 established a free TV and film training facility that has since supported over 3,000 young people in producing more than 1,000 thought-provoking films, shows and videos. Her directing credits include the five-part documentary series Pricking the Missionary Position (shot in Ghana), Sylvia Pankhurst: Everything is Possible (on the overlooked suffragette pioneer), and the award-winning Every Cook Can Govern, a landmark documentary on C.L.R. James made with over 200 volunteers.

She has also directed and edited acclaimed works such as Women: A Success Story, which screened internationally and challenged Me Too’s view of women as victims, and 1917: Why the Russian Revolution Matters, which marked the revolution’s centenary by interrogating popular myths. Her most recent film, The UK Solidarity Story (2024), has already won 12 international awards. She is currently developing a new documentary exploring the history of freedom in the UK and is inviting volunteers to join the crew.

Before moving into filmmaking, Ceri led youth exchanges across the globe—from the depths of the Amazon rainforest to living with families of Hiroshima bomb survivors in Japan.
