Dr Wendy Earle
convenor, Arts and Society Forum; co-host, Arts First podcast

Wendy co-founded, with Niall Crowley, the Arts First podcast which is committed to defending freedom of expression in the arts and ‘arts for arts’ sake. She convenes the Academy of Ideas Arts and Society Forum, which promotes open and open-ended discussion of the arts and culture, and of the place it holds in society.  She has written on the arts and culture for spiked and other publications. Before retirement, she worked at Birkbeck, University of London; at the British Film Institute, and in educational publishing.

Wendy is the author of an essay on beauty, ‘Lifting the Spirits’ in Five Critical Essays on Beauty, 2023 published by Future Cities Project and TR Publishing.
