Val Voshchevska is the social media editor for Newsweek, based in London. Apart from running the global social media strategy for the publication, she writes about international security, women in conflict and mental health.
Previously, she ran the social media accounts for United Nations Volunteers in Ukraine. After having studied international relations at the University of St Andrews, she completed a Masters degree in International Conflict Studies at KCL, focusing on the information war in Ukraine.
Val’s current research interest lies in the securitization of information and its consequences for the freedom of speech in post conflict societies.
