Tarjinder Wilkinson
primary school teacher; regularly writer, All in Britain

Tarjinder Wilkinson studied British and EU politics as an undergraduate at Leicester University before completing an MPhil in political science at Trinity College Dublin.

Her experience of teaching undergraduates led to her decision to train as a primary-school teacher. This included teaching in inner-city schools in areas of high socio-economic deprivation in Birmingham, Leicester, London and now in Great Yarmouth.

Her blog focuses on the failure of progressive methods in education and makes the case for a more traditional, academic education for all. She has given talks on a range of education topics at the Wellington Festival of Education and ResearchEd. She is regularly writes for All in Britain, a group dedicated to expressing fresh thinking about the issues of race, identity, culture and politics in Britain today. She has also contributed articles for spiked and Labour Teachers.
