Robert Hudson is a novelist, playwright and comedy writer. In an earlier life, he did a Cambridge PhD on British origins of segregation in South Africa which looked at how liberal whites justified their denial of equal humanity to various categories of humans. During this he taught intellectual history and supervised scientists who had joined the history and philosophy of science faculty. He spent most of 2017 as Leverhulme artist in residence in a bee behaviour laboratory at Queen Mary University of London and he is now writing a play about how bees think and how we think about that. He is also writing a radio comedy about death metal and a book about a dignitary.
