Robert Dawson Scott
head of engagement, STV; author, Assessment; producer, Consenting Adults
Robert is a career journalist, broadcaster and award winning tv producer. Consenting Adults, the 2007 television drama he produced for BBC4 about the decriminalisation of homosexuality, won BAFTAs in Scotland for best original script and best performance. After many years as a theatre critic and, for a while in the 1900s, arts editor of The Scotsman newspaper, he now writes for the stage rather than about it. His most recent play, Assessment, was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe 2017. Playwrighting being what it is, he maintains a day job at STV (Scottish Television) where, as head of engagement, he is part of the consumer team which handles all outgoing communications to STV’s four million customer base and a member of the senior leadership team.
