Richard Swan is an ex-teacher, now a writer, lecturer and academic. His children’s novel, Melody’s Unicorn, was published in May 2018. By training and inclination a medievalist, he has organised and participated in a wide range of talks and debates on subjects including creative writing, extra-terrestrial intelligence, animal cognition, Mervyn Peake, T.S Eliot and Lana Del Rey. He has a particular interest in the war poetry of the Anglo-Saxons.
