Active in HR and management for 25 years, Richard Cummings is an HR professional, advising businesses across multiple sectors in all aspects of human resource management.
Richard started his career as a trainee manager for a FTSE100 company, before moving into HR. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and says he’s one of the few HR professionals who consciously decided to move into the field rather than ‘falling into it’.
Richard was an HR Manager before deciding to move into HR Consultancy in 2011 and become managing director of KSHRC in 2014.
Richard provides strategic advice to clients and helps companies make those difficult people decisions they’d rather not make. Richard has been an advocator of Shared Parental Leave, despite all its teething problems. Richard advised MP’s before the 2015 general election to seriously consider consulting on Shared Grandparental Leave, something which has since gathered momentum. Richard believes that moving this further could actually reduce discrimination in the workplace and provide a fairer system for everyone.
