Patrick Hayes is the director of BESA, the trade association representing over 400 educational suppliers with a combined revenue of £2.3billion. He is also a director of EdTech Exchange, the largest network of EdTech founders in Europe.
Hayes has been a columnist for Education Today, Huffington Post and spiked. He has made a wide range of media appearances, which include Newsnight, Sunday Morning Live, Sky News, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4 and 5 Live.
He is chair of judges for the Bett Awards and the Education Resources Awards, a judge of the Education Investor Awards and sits on both the Department for International Trade’s and DFE’s EdTech steering groups.
He will be taking up a new role as chief development officer at Times Higher Education in November.
