Patrícia do Vale
independent curator and arts educator, Serralves Contemporary Art Museum

Patrícia do Vale is an independent curator who develops projects in the fields of visual and performing arts around the body, the ephemeral, the precarious, the participation, the memory and the testimony.

Patrícia presented co-curated exhibitions at the first Avenida-Edifício AXA (2013), and the inaugural program of Espaço MIRA (2013 – 2014). She was curator of the RITUAL project, a collaboration between Espaço MIRA in Porto and Encontros da Imagem in Braga (2014). She was in charge of art direction, photography and mediation of C I N Z A – a fine arts and performing arts project with the community (2015 – 2016). She was also curator of the exhibitions Teimosia de Tentar by Sónia Borges (2018) and H O T E L by (ih-theer-ee-uh – 2018) at CRU Galeria.

Patrícia is a mediator in arts education, developing orientation activities in exhibition contexts and artistic workshops. She collaborates with the Serralves Educational Service. She is also an executive producer and communication advisor for fine arts and performance projects.

Patrícia has a masters in Museum and Curatorial Studies from FBAUP. She attended the Painting Course at Ar.Co, Lisbon and had a degree in psychology from FPCEUP.
