Michael McKay’s voice might be recognisable to some from World Radio Switzerland (www.worldradio.ch) where his popular programme, The McKay Interview, has been broadcast three times weekly for more than five years.
Before this, Michael’s career took him to the top of the corporate world where he worked globally in the international tobacco industry for 24 years. Moreover, he has had his own, independent consulting business for about 20 years, six of which were spent in Zug.
Michael’s clients past and present include some of the world’s greatest financial institutions like Nestlé, the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations in Geneva. Michael is also a former chairman of the British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce Geneva.
Michael has addressed and moderated conferences from Cannes to Kunming, from London to Bali and from Tortola to Madrid. He has also been a visiting lecturer at the Universities of Cambridge, Fribourg and Geneva.
Twice an ‘immigrant’, he was born in Kingston, Jamaica and grew up and was educated in England. He has lived in Switzerland for 34 years and, since 1993, in the canton of Vaud.
