Marco Visscher is a Dutch, independent journalist. He writes for leading newspapers and magazines in both the Netherlands and Belgium, such as de Volkskrant and Humo. He is the author of the 2018 book De energietransitie on the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewables. He’s the co-author of Ecomodernisme, a book on ecomodernism, an emerging movement of environmentalists who argue humans can protect nature by using technology to decouple our impact from the natural world. He’s the founder and curator of Tegengeluid(‘counterpoint’), a digital newsletter with introductions and links to the best unconventional ideas on the Internet.
