Lívia Barts is working on her PhD dissertation on the use of visualization in learning and knowledge communication at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE, Budapest, Hungary), where she was a lecturer between 2015 and 2017. She acquired a degree in English Literature at ELTE in 2010; and graduated as a graphic designer at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME, Budapest) in 2012. She has worked as a graphic notetaker and visual facilitator at Graphacity Ltd., participated in theatre projects as set and communication designer, and founded ReGraph Visualization Services, which aims to support research communication with graphic design. Now based in Porto, she works as a freelance graphic designer and visual facilitator.
