Lauren Razavi

Lauren Razavi is a writer, technologist and political scientist. She is executive director of Plumia, a global network rethinking migration, citizenship, and borders for the 21st century. A former journalist and policy advisor, her work explores how technology intersects with travel, politics, and culture.
Half-British and half-Iranian, Lauren spent a decade living as a digital nomad before finally settling in Amsterdam. Her background spans roles as managing editor for the future of work at Google, a tech policy fellow at the Tony Blair Institute, and early content design for Google Maps. She holds degrees in political science and creative writing from the University of East Anglia and is known for her interdisciplinary and solutions-oriented approach to building across tech, government, and the arts.
She is author of the book Global Natives (2021), which comments on how the internet has reshaped where and how we live, work, and belong. She writes a Substack under the same name.
