Kate Maltby is a theatre critic for The Times and writes regularly on the intersection of politics and culture for a range of other newspapers on both sides of the Atlantic. She is also a frequent broadcaster and a weekly contributor to CNN. She is an associate fellow of Bright Blue, the liberal conservative think tank, and a trustee of Index on Censorship. She is also completing a PhD at UCL on the intellectual life of Elizabeth I.
