Joel Mills is senior music programme manager at British Council, the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations. Joel devises, manages and produces a programme of international music and arts projects Since joining British Council, she spent several months in South Africa temporary stint as Director Arts, sub-Saharan Africa; led on the British Council’s contribution to London 2012 River of Music; developed programmes bridging film and music, art, music and tech, and arts in the public realm.
Joel has worked in music and arts for over 20 years with a background that straddles both commercial and funded sector, managing artists, programming a venue, and working with festivals and major promoter.
