Imran Mahmood
barrister and writer; author, You Don’t Know Me

Imran Mahmood qualified as a barrister in 1992 and has been in practice at the Common Law Bar ever since. He specialises in Legal Aid cases involving violent crimes as well as fraud and sexual offences. His debut novel, You Don’t Know Me, which was a Radio 2 Book Club Choice, was published in May 2017 and was called an ‘impressively original courtroom drama’ by The Times. The novel was inspired by Imran’s career working with those accused of murder. He was born in Liverpool and now lives in London with his wife and daughter.
