Europe editor, Courrier International
Author and journalist, Gerry Feehily is Europe editor at Paris global affairs weekly Courrier International, a magazine which translates articles selected from the international press.
He has been living in Paris since 1990, and was previously a literary translator, notably of Jean Hatzfeld’s Into the Quick of Life, firsthand accounts of the Rwandan genocide of 1994.
As a literary journalist writing for, among others, the New Statesman, The Independent and the Guardian, he reviewed and interviewed a number of contemporary French authors including Michel Houellebecq and Alain Robbe-Grillet.
He is the author of two works of fiction, Fever (2008) and Gunk (2014).
