Dr Toby Andrew
Lecturer in human genetics, Imperial College London; principal investigator in genetics, MSc in Human Molecular Genetics

Dr Toby Andrew is a lecturer in human genetics at Imperial College London, where he is also a principal investigator in genetics and is programme organiser for the MSc in Human Molecular Genetics.

His research focuses on the genetics and epigenetics of metabolic disease, including mitochondrial genetics and diabetes. He has published widely on the genetics of common disease and on gene mapping methods.

He originally studied biology in Leeds, went on to study computing and statistics in York, and obtained his PhD in human genetics from King’s College London.
