Dr Ruth Dudley Edwards is a historian, journalist, author and broadcaster. Her non-fiction includes Patrick Pearse:the triumph of failure; Victor Gollancz: a biography; Newspapermen: Cecil King; Hugh Cudlipp and the glory days of Fleet Street; The Economist: 1843-1993; The Faithful Tribe: an intimate portrait of the loyal institutions; Aftermath: the Omagh bombing and the families’ pursuit of justice and The Seven: the lives and legacies of the founding fathers of the Irish Republic.
The targets of her twelve satirical crime novels include the Anglo-Irish peace process and British institutions including the civil service, academia, gentlemen’s clubs, the House of Lords, as well as literary prizes and the art establishment.
