Dr Neema Parvini
senior lecturer in English, University of Surrey; author, Shakespeare’s Moral Compass
Dr Neema Parvini is senior lecturer in English at the University of Surrey, a contributor to Quillette, and a proud member of the Heterodox Academy as well as The Evolution Institute. He is the author of five books on Shakespeare and contemporary philosophy. His latest is Shakespeare’s Moral Compass. At a political and cultural moment in which many of us are taking stock and looking for meaning, and in which moral outrage and polarisation seem endemic, this book radically reimagines how we might approach great works of literature to find some answers.
He is currently working on a new book called The Defenders of Liberty: Human Nature, Individualism, a Property Rights – a study of five hundred years of thinking about freedom in the West from Machiavelli to Milton Friedman.
