Douglas Lain is the publisher of Zero Books, a novelist, a podcaster, and most recently a YouTuber. His most recent novel, entitled BASH BASH Revolution, received a starred review in Booklist and his previous novel After the Saucers Landed was nominated for the Philip K Dick Award.

As the publisher of Zero Books, Douglas published books like Give Them an Argument: Logic for the Left by Ben Burgis, The Writing on the Wall by Anselm Jappe, and Capitalism vs. Freedom by Rob Larson. As a podcaster he has interviewed left philosophers ranging from Penelope Rosemont of the Chicago Surrealist Group to Slavoj Zizek. His most recent YouTube series for the Zero Books channel is an attempt to rethink critical theory while keeping Marx’s critique of political economy firmly in mind.
