CEO, Built Environment Trust; chief executive, The Building Centre; governor, University for the Creative Arts
Colin Tweedy, LVO OBE, is chief executive of London’s The Building Centre and CEO of the Built Environment Trust. He is governor, University for the Creative Arts, a member of the Design Council Sounding Board and a trustee of the Mariinsky Theatre.
Previously Colin was chief executive at arts and business; director, Headlong Theatre (formerly the Oxford Stage Company); founder and trustee, The Prince of Wales Arts & Kids Foundation, and senior advisor to Futurecity. He was a member of the Council for Charitable Support, a trustee of the Serpentine Gallery and The Ideas Foundation and a council member of the National Musicians Symphony Orchestra. Colin was elected a companion of the Chartered Management Institute (2002), is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and was awarded Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, 2003.
