Simon Cooke
urbanist; former regeneration portfolio holder and leader of the Conservative group, Bradford City Council

Simon Cooke is a retired professional marketer, urbanist and politician, having been account planning director at one of the UK’s leading direct marketing agencies as well as working in regeneration, housing and business development. He retired as a Bradford councillor in May after 24 years, including periods as council deputy leader, regeneration portfolio holder and leader of the Conservative Group.

Simon has a degree in South East Asian studies, an MSc in urban regeneration and a diploma in communications from the CAM Foundation. He is married to Kathryn and blogs at The View from Cullingworth (the beautiful South Pennine village where they live).
