Christopher Beckett recently started his teacher training in religious education (Secondary) at a school in Walthamstow, East London, and is continuing with a career in education following previous posts at a private tuition agency and a boarding school. He has a deep interest in education, pedagogy and the direction of contemporary education.
Although currently living in London, Chris is a founding member of the Liverpool Salon. He has written sporadically for spiked and was a researcher for the Free Speech University Rankings launch. He had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Camille Paglia at the Battle of Ideas 2017.
Chris holds an MA in sociology from the University of Liverpool where he focused on higher education and infantilisation, and completed his BA at the University of Sheffield.
