Dr Cherry James
senior lecturer, London South Bank University; author, Citizenship, Nation-building and Identity in the EU

Dr Cherry James is a senior lecturer at London South Bank University, where she teaches legal systems and EU law. She is also the Erasmus co-ordinator for the Law Division, looks after visiting Erasmus students, and leads short study trips for students to other European universities. She is the author of Citizenship, Nation-building and Identity in the EU: the contribution of Erasmus student mobility.

Her research interests range from the first-year student experience and student mobility to EU law and citizenship. She is a qualified solicitor and worked for a number of years in commercial litigation.
