Barbara Klimke is a German journalist and former UK correspondent. She works for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and currently lives in Munich.
As a sports writer Barbara Klimke has covered sport events across the word, including five Olympic Games. She frequently reports from the Wimbledon Championships. She was the deputy sports editor with the Berliner Zeitung from 2002 until 2007. In 2008 she became UK correspondent for the Berliner Zeitung and Frankfurter Rundschau. Based in London she covered politics, social and cultural affairs for a period of seven years. She joined the Süddeutsche Zeitung two years ago.
Barbara studied English and German literature and linguistics at Ludwig Maximilians Universität, Munich.
