Antje Hermenau

Antje Hermenau was born in Leipzig in 1964 to a worker’s family. She went to high school and university in Leipzig and received her diploma as language teacher in 1989-1990. She was a member of the Round Table of Leipzig. She is author of Ansichten aus der Mitte Europas: Wie Sachsen die Welt sehen

Antje was an elected MP in the Saxon Parliament between 1990-1994 and again in 2004 – 2014. She was elected as an MP in the German Bundestag between 1994-2004 and was a member of the committee of budget. She quit all political mandate and chairs in 2014, and since then has become an entrepreneur and author. Antje joined a firm involved in the rebuilding efforts and projects in Syria and Iraq after the war, building infrastructure, business and enterprises in those countries.
