Anne Scanlan
director of education and media, Life

Anne Scanlan is the director of education and media at Life, one of the country’s largest and oldest pro-life organisations. Whilst working as an architect in London Anne trained and volunteered as a skilled listener with the charity offering help and support to women facing crisis pregnancy. Having grown up in Dublin, Anne was already uncomfortable with Britain’s position on abortion and the 4 ½ years she spent listening to women convinced her that abortion was not in a woman’s best interest. Eventually she gave up her role as a senior project architect to dedicate herself to full time pro-life work.

Anne is now the director in charge of Life Matters®, the educating and campaigning arm of Life. She has been quoted in various newspapers etc. and has spoken on numerous BBC and other radio stations and made many TV appearances including Sky News, BBC News and ITN News.
