founder, Sister Supporter
Anna Veglio-White founded the pro-choice organisation Sister Supporter with a group of local Ealing residents in November 2015. This was in response to the two-decade long vigil of intimidation held outside their local abortion clinic.
Sister Supporter is a diverse organisation with members of all ages, genders, religions and sexualities. They are united in their belief that people should be able to access legal healthcare, free from interference and intimidation.
They petitioned Ealing Council to put an end to the vigils outside the clinic, and the Councillors unanimously voted in favour of this. Ealing is now leading the way in balancing the rights of those who oppose abortion, with the rights of people who need to access it, with their anonymity in tact.
