Andreas Siemoneit (born 1967) has degrees as physicist and business engineer. He works as a software architect and business consultant in Berlin. In 2011 he reduced work-time and is since then deeply involved in the degrowth debate. As a private social researcher he focuses on alleged ‘growth imperatives’ and the anthropology of the economic and the political process from a liberal and market-friendly perspective. He is member of the board and executive secretary of Förderverein Wachstumswende, a NGO promoting and administrating degrowth projects.
