head of campaigns and communications, Population Matters; campaigner, PETA UK, Cruelty Free International and Free Tibet
Alistair Currie has been a campaigner for nearly 20 years, including at PETA UK, Cruelty Free International and Free Tibet. After campaigning for animal and human rights, he sought opportunities to move into environmental campaigning. Answering a job advertisement in 2016 looking for a campaigner ‘used to tough issues’, he was very pleased to be able to take on one of the biggest environmental challenges of all at Population Matters. In a previous professional life he was a registered nurse.
