Alexander Adams studied fine art and art history at Goldsmiths College, London. Adams works as a professional artist and has exhibited worldwide, with art in the collections of many museums, including the Victoria & Albert Museum and the National Museum of Wales. His poetry and fiction has been published in the UK and the USA. Adams has written art and cultural criticism for The Art Newspaper, Apollo, Burlington Magazine, Print Quarterly, Standpoint and other periodicals. His articles on free speech, censorship and museum policy have appeared on spiked. He was awarded the 2018 Artist Scholarship by the Francis Bacon Art Foundation, Monaco.
His book, Culture War: art, identity politics and cultural entryism, was published in 2019.
