educational consultant; author, Curriculum: Athene vs the machine and Trivium 21c: preparing young people for the future with lessons from the past
Martin Robinson is the author of Curriculum: Athena vs the machine, a book that explores the educational value of a curriculum rooted in the pursuit of wisdom – and advocates the enshrinement of such a curriculum as the central concern of an academic institution. His previous books Trivium 21 Century and Trivium in Practice are books that examine the first three liberal arts of grammar, dialectic and rhetoric, to show how they are relevant to today’s educational needs. After teaching for 20 years in London state schools, he now works as a consultant advising schools and other organisations about how a liberal arts approach can help them realise the core values of a great education.
