Charlie Parker
news reporter and free speech campaigner

Charlie has been a news reporter at The Sun Online for two years and has also written for The Times. He has covered everything from viral cat videos to North Korean nuclear threats, but is particularly interested in international affairs and digital communication.

A recent graduate in politics and philosophy from LSE, Charlie spent much of his university time campaigning against campus censorship as the founder and president of the Free Speech Society (aka Speakeasy). The group’s activities received national coverage and aimed to expose students to a range of controversial ideas and speakers, including Israeli Colonel Grisha Yakubovich, human rights activist Maryam Namazie and satirical news reporter Jonathan Pie.

He is also a proud member of the Battle of Ideas Partnership Team.
