![]() | Fiona Measham is Senior Lecturer in Criminology at Lancaster University. She has 20 years’ experience in the drug and alcohol field researching on emergent drug trends and policy developments. Her most recent book is Illegal Leisure Revisited (2011), a follow-up to Illegal Leisure (1998), based on a longitudinal study of 14-28 year olds, which developed the normalisation thesis and is the most widely cited work on recreational drug use. Fiona was appointed to the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs in 2009 and is Chair of the ACMD Polysubstance Use Working Group. Fiona is a member of the Independent Scientific Committee on Drugs and the UK Early Warning System. She sits on the editorial boards of the British Journal of Criminology, Contemporary Drug Problems and Drugs and Alcohol Today. |
