![]() | Following his studies of Dutch and French Language and Literature as well as Information Management in Cologne, Germany, Guido Jansen started his professional career at Transparency International and the German Council on Foreign Relations. He joined the British Council in 1997, initially working in the area of Information, Education and the Knowledge Society. Having completed a Masters in European Studies at Frankfurt / Oder in 2006 with a thesis on the crisis of multiculturalism in the Netherlands, Guido Jansen now is responsible for the “Open Europe” Programme at the organisation’s German office in Berlin. In this capacity, he works on projects around diversity, migration and demographic change. In addition, he has piloted Our Shared Europe, an international British Council initiative which focuses on the past, present and future contributions of Muslim communities to Europe’s culture and identity. “Our Shared Europe” will now be rolled out in more than 15 European countries and in the USA. |
