Anirban Roy

Arniban has been teaching English at high school level the past thirteen years in some of the most reputed schools in India, and at DPS Megacity since 2007 where he is currently the Subject Coordinator and Mentor Remedial in English. In his former role as Head of English at Kerala Samajam Model School, Jamshedpur, his students consistently obtained the all India highest marks in English in the Indian School Certificate examinations. 

Arniban is actively involved in debates, quizzes, and drama at school, and trained and accompanied the quiz team from KSMS, Jamshedpur to win the Bournvita All Asia Quiz Championship in 2002. He’s been the Chairperson for the prestigious Frank Anthony Memorial Debate for a number of years and has trained students at an under privileged school in Jamshedpur to win the prestigious JRD Tata award in Students Quality Circle Presentation in 2005.

Recently, one of his plays, ‘In Harmony’ won the Judge’s Choice Award In South Point School Drama Festival in Kolkata, and Arniban was nominated and short listed for the ‘Communicator’s Award’ for the best teacher in English at the school level in 2009.
