He is the first person to transfer directly from the private sector (where he has worked for BT and Shell) to such a position. He has been involved with the Institute of Ideas for three years, and he is a Trustee of a charity called V which is about the creation of volunteering opportunities for young people. He feels passionately about equality of opportunity. |
