George Pitcher

George is a writer, journalist and commentator, principally in the area of public ethics. He was Industrial Editor of

during the high summer of the Thatcher privatisation programme, being voted National Newspaper Industrial Journalist of the Year by the Industrial Society. In 1992, he co-founded Luther Pendragon, a communications consultancy which developed the PR practice of issues management, often for highly controversial clients. He sold his interest in the firm in 2005, the year he was ordained into the priesthood of the Church of England. In 2003, he published The Death of Spin, an indictment of public relations. He was, until recently, Religion Editor and columnist at The Daily Telegraph. In 2010, he published A Time To Live: The Case Against Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide.
