Ben Pile

Ben is Co-editor of the Climate-resistance blog, launched in early 2007 with the intention of challenging the dominance of ill considered arguments for political action to mitigate climate change. On his blog and in articles, Ben argues that scientific authority is borrowed by politicians, journalists and a range of people with public profiles who otherwise struggle to identify a basis for their roles, leading to an escalation of the sense of crisis that dominates environmental debates. Now in its third year, Climate Resistance enjoys an ever growing audience, and appeals to readers from across the political spectrum.

He is a writer with particular interest in science and politics/society, especially climate and environment, and is a regular contributor to spiked, Culture Wars and The Register
